Simply Delicious has teamed up with Pale Green Dot to offer Guildford and the surrounding areas access to the highest quality local and seasonal fruit and vegetable boxes.
Pale Green Dot are a sustainable food business with the aim of reducing the global carbon footprint – starting with what’s on our plates! They want to protect our vulnerable planet by encouraging as many people as possible to eat local, seasonal food. They initially set up to supply fresh produce to some of the UK’s finest restaurant kitchens however with the recent impact of COVID-19 on the hospitality industry Simply Delicious is delighted to be able to work with them and offer this fresh produce to you at home. They work with a wide network of smaller, independent farms that grow exceptional produce and more information on the can be found on their website.
The standard fruit and vegetable box contains:
Traditional Root Veg (Onions, Swede, Beetroot, Carrots, Potatoes)
Leaves and Green Veg (Salad Bag, Savoy/Tundra Cabbage, Leeks)
Coloured veg (Peppers, Vine Tomatoes, Aubergine)
Local Fruit (Apples, Pears)
This is what I received in my box last week and I can verify the freshness and flavour of all the contents.
The standard fruit and vegetable box costs £14.50 including delivery within the Guildford area or £13.50 for collection (special social distance measures are in place) from Simply Delicious at GU1 3NE. Deliveries are currently offered on Wednesdays and/ or Fridays (subject to numbers) and orders must be placed by midday the day before delivery.
This week I received my first Premium fruit and vegetable box. I expected larger version of the standard box but it was so much more. This box contains the basics as per the standard but with the addition of seasonal produce asparagus, radishes and rhubarb as well as fresh garlic and chilli peppers and a huge range of salad items.

The Premium box costs £23.50 for delivery within the Guildford area or £22.50 for collection (social distance measures are in place) from Simply Delicious GU1 3NE. Deliveries are currently made on Wednesdays or Fridays and orders must be placed by midday the day before delivery.
